Kroger Doubles Fuel Reward Limit

CINCINNATI — The Kroger Co. is doubling the limit on its fuel reward program from $1 per gallon to $2 per gallon between May 27 and Sept. 30.

"Last year we increased the potential savings up to $1.00 per gallon at most of our stores around the country. Customers continue looking for ways to save, and we're delighted to offer them even more control at the pump by doubling their potential savings up to $2.00 per gallon all summer long," said Michael J. Donnelly, Kroger's senior vice president of merchandising, in a statement.

Under the fuel reward program, shoppers earn 100 points for every $100 spent at most Kroger Co. stores, with 100 points translating to a 10 cents-per-gallon discount at a Kroger-location fuel center. With the “Hot Savings on Fuel, All Summer Long” promotion, customers can earn and redeem up to 2,000 fuel reward points for up to $2 in savings in one fill-up through regular purchases and special offers.

Among its special offers, for every purchase of $50 in gift cards from Kroger's Gift Card Mall, customers receive 100 fuel points. Currently, Kroger is offering quadruple fuel points on most gift cards as part of its Dads and Grads savings event. In addition, when shoppers use the Kroger 1-2-3 Rewards Visa, they can earn an additional 5 cents off the cost of a gallon when they redeem points; new cardholders can save 25 cents a gallon during their first three months as cardholders when they redeem at least 100 fuel points. Finally, every qualifying prescription earns customers 50 fuel points.
