Weis Markets on Thursday announced that Rick Bhandari, has joined the company as director of pharmacy operations.
In this position, Bhandari will oversee the day to day management and operation of the Sunbury, Pa.-based company’s 134 in-store pharmacies. He reports to Rick Seipp, VP pharmacy.
Bhandari has more than 20 years of pharmacy management experience. Prior to joining Weis Markets, he worked as a regional pharmacy manager for Bi-Lo Holdings, a supermarket company operating stores in eight Southern states including South Carolina and Florida. Earlier in his career, Bhandari worked in management positions at CVS and Rite Aid.
Bhandari earned his pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina and a master’s in business administration from North Carolina State University.
